Whitefish roe

Prized for their delicacy, whitefish roe (Coregonus albula) comes from a small fish of the salmon family that lives in northern lakes and the slightly brackish waters of Scandinavia. Harvested mainly in the gulfs of Finland, they are known by the prestigious name of Kalix Löjrom, a culinary speciality that is a must-try in Northern Europe.

Coregone eggs are rare eggs that are distinguished by their delicate texture and subtle flavour. Their fine appearance and balanced taste make them an exceptional product sought after by gourmets.

Whitefish roe can be enjoyed in many different ways. Traditionally served with crème fraîche and red onions, it tastes delicious on blinis, warm potatoes or as a sophisticated garnish for starters and appetisers. It also works perfectly in more creative gourmet recipes, adding a touch of luxury and freshness to your dishes.
