Whole foie gras with Périgord PGI

Whole Duck Foie Gras IGP Périgord comes from ducks raised on farms in south-western France. Processed near Neuvic, this foie gras reflects traditional expertise and consistent high standards. Each foie gras is delicately seasoned, then packaged to preserve its melt-in-the-mouth texture and natural flavour.

Before tasting, place the foie gras in the refrigerator and remove it to room temperature about fifteen minutes before slicing it with a lyre or a knife dipped in hot water. It can be enjoyed on lightly toasted country bread, accompanied by sweet wines such as Monbazillac or Jurançon. A fruity, light-bodied red wine is also a subtle accompaniment.
