Wakame-Algen

Our wakame seaweed is harvested off the coast of Lesconil in Brittany, in the heart of the Natura 2000 protected area. This region is recognized for its exceptional natural heritage and benefits from strict protection for the conservation of its resources.

Characterized by its brown color and supple texture, wakame seaweed brings a delicately iodized flavor, reminiscent of oyster, which will enhance your dishes.

Offered in whole leaves to preserve its crunch, wakame seaweed offers great freedom of use in cooking. Before tasting, simply rinse it in cold fresh water and soak it in a water bath for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on your preferences for a more or less iodized taste. Once pressed to remove excess water, the seaweed swells up to 1.5 times its original size, while remaining slightly crunchy and salty. Wakame seaweed is ideally consumed in salad, accompanied by seasoning and sesame seeds, or as a complement to various dishes for a refined marine touch.
