Wakame seaweed
Our wakame seaweed is harvested off the coast of Lesconil in Brittany, in the heart of the Natura 2000 protected area. This region is recognized for its exceptional natural heritage and benefits from strict protection for the conservation of its riches.
Characterized by its brown color and supple texture, wakame seaweed brings a delicately iodized flavor, reminiscent of oysters, which will enhance your dishes.
Available in whole leaves to preserve its crunch, wakame seaweed offers great freedom of use in cooking. Before eating it, simply rinse it with cold fresh water and soak it in a water bath for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on your preferences for a more or less iodized taste. Once squeezed to remove excess water, the seaweed expands to 1.5 times its original size, while remaining slightly crunchy and salty. Wakamé seaweed is ideally eaten in salad, accompanied by seasoning and sesame seeds, or as an addition to various dishes for a refined marine touch.
